This week marks our homecoming week, and our students are showcasing their school spirit by wearing their favorite hats! It's a wonderful reminder of the community and pride we build within our school culture.

Today, our halls were filled with colors! 3rd grade was shining in Green, 4th grade was bright in Orange, 5th grade was cool in Blue, and 6th grade was bold in Red! Way to show school spirit and kick off our homecoming week!

Fourth graders used Indi robots to extend their work with sense of sight in STEAM lab. Our high school helpers made the task extra fun!

Join us in rallying behind our Yellowjackets Varsity football team! Spirit week will kick off on Monday, September 30th and run thru Friday, October 4th. Our first day will be class colors day: 3rd grade = Green, 4th grade = Orange, 5th grade = Blue, 6th grade = Red. Let's see which grade has the most spirit by wearing their class colors!
Thank you Mandy Symonds (Chasing Fireflies) for donating plusplus pieces to our STEAM lab. Fifth graders were challenged to create parent and offspring models to go along with their living things unit, and the plusplus pieces were perfect for the task!
Next week is homecoming week....here are the daily dress up days for the week. We can't wait to see everyone's school spirit as we get set to celebrate our Ithaca Yellowjackets!
2nd Option at both North and South Elementary Schools on Wednesday the 25th will be Nachos, Cheese & Salsa Fun Lunch and on Thursday the 26th it will be the Muffin, Yogurt & Cheese Fun Lunch.
Sixth graders used their civil engineering skills to construct working skills lifts in STEAM lab. Successful designs safely transported skiers from the bottom of the"mountain" to the top and then back down again!
5th graders created models using their own creative skills to show the process of the water cycle!
Sixth graders set up our celery stalk models today! With the help of a heat lamp to increase the sun's energy, students will be able to observe how plants help move water around the water cycle!
Our Annual Title I Information Night is tomorrow 9/24/24 @ South Elementary School from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
