We’re so proud of one of our 6th graders who just donated their hair for a wonderful cause!
The hair is being donated to Maggie's Wigs 4 Kids. This empowering act not only helps those in need but inspires others to give back too. Students helped assist by cutting the students hair along with Mrs. Rayburn.

3rd and 4th graders went to Alma College to see a performance by the Academy of Performing Arts. The kids were a great audience for the performance and had a lot of positive comments! It was nice to see them using our Positivity character strength this week- "giving others our attention"!

5th graders visited the local cemetery to learn more about the history of Ithaca. Thanks to Mr. DeVuyst for engaging our students and teaching the students more about our own community!

Fourth graders collaborated to tackle lock box challenges in STEAM. They used science clues about bees to unlock 3-digit, 4-digit, direction, and color locks. Once they opened their boxes, they created motorized buzzing bees!

We are ready for our fall trips to the school woods thanks to a generous donation from Pheasants Forever! Students will be using binoculars, scoopers, and field guides to explore our woods and will be able to see what's happening in the woods when we aren't there thanks to the new cellular trail cams they purchased for us! Thank you so much for supporting our outdoor education!

Our 6th graders are currently fundraising and looking for pledge sponsors to help them attend camp next spring. We have some students who will need sponsorships this year. If you are able to help sponsor a student to attend camp; please contact Mrs. Rayburn (989) 875-3047.
Thank you for your investment in our students.

5th graders were productive scientists today by showing what the inside of a cell looks like with their creations!

This week in STEAM fifth graders were challenged to build animal road crossings to help wildlife get from a forest area to a water source. Bridges needed to cross over two different sized vehicles and hold at least two animals. Teamwork was a must for this challenge!
