Students were able to get outside and safely view the solar eclipse today. Thank you to the PTO, and others who provided solar eclipse glasses for our students!

Our final mini-soapbox derby race was held Friday. The four fastest cars from each sixth grade classroom competed for first place in a single-elimination bracket tournament. Congratulations to Ella and Clare...their "Shamrock Shake" car raced to the first place slot!

Here are our March Students of the Month! These students demonstrated positive character strengths throughout the month of March! Congratulations!

This week our school community will be focusing on the character strength of Humor. Humor means you like to laugh and bring smiles to other people.
“I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it’s the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills.”--AUDREY HEPBURN

After a much-anticipated and enjoyable spring break, it’s back to school on Tuesday, April 2nd. When students and teachers return to class, they’ll have just 47 days left in the school year. Those 47 days will be filled with lots of activities, including preparation for NWEA and M-STEP tests, fun events like field day, grandparents day, 6th grade camp, field trips and so much more. All of it culminates for the last day of school on June 6th.

Mr. DeRosia's class built positive relationships by reading to the 4th graders to celebrate reading month!

Wishing everyone an amazing Spring Break ahead! Take this well-deserved break to unwind and recharge. We will see you Tuesday, April 2, 2024.

Tomorrow we wrap up our reading month with PJ/Comfy Clothes Day! Thanks to everyone who participated and we hope you enjoyed Reading Adventures in the Great Outdoors!

5th graders shared the love of reading with 4th graders today!

Tomorrow is Woods or Water Day--wear something that tells us which you prefer.

Reader's Theater performances of The Very Cranky Bear in 3rd grade were a hit! I can see some future actors in these two groups.

Fifth graders enjoyed collaborating to build and code working taxis in STEAM lab.

4th graders are using their reading skills to take notes while reading comparative texts together.

Our wonderful kitchen staff created a surprise for all of the students at North with a green themed lunch! Everyone enjoyed the special treats and many thanks to our creative lunch ladies for the fun St. Patrick's Day lunch!

Family Reading Night was a huge success! We had over 160 people attend the evening of fun! There was an escape room, book walk, animal mask making, puzzles, and of course our blue blocks were a hit too! The student council bake sale was also happening during the evening as well. Thanks to everyone who came out and supported our students in this family reading night fun!

Friday was another Heroes in the Hive day at North! We celebrate these community members who come in once a month to spend time and build positive relationships with our students.

Dear North Families,
We have one more week until Spring Break! Please contact North Elementary if you have any questions!
