Second graders read The Boy and The Whale in STEAM and were challenged to design a tool to rescue a “whale” from a net!

First grade began learning about keyboards this week in technology. Our typing program has them using their hands in the air and on the keyboards learning how to use the correct fingers on the keyboard one letter at a time.



2nd graders have been learning how to use lines to create space in a picture, as well as using lines to make pictures more three dimensional in different ways. Their line work was done to make it look like the dinosaurs have come back to the city.

Mrs. Whitford’s Developmental Kindergarten class made a banner for Veteran’s Night at the varsity football game on September 23rd.

First graders used our new Kibo robots to learn about days and nights. Thank you Gratiot County Community Foundation for funding this project!


Mrs. Whitford’s class worked on reading and math centers with Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Napieralski last week.



Kindergarteners read the book School Bus by Donald Crews in STEAM lab and then worked with a partner to build a bus!
