Second graders used cubetto robots to extend their land features knowledge and practice using map skills.
Mrs. Buchanan’s class read books about boxes and community helpers. Then students created trains, cars, fire trucks, and police cars while learning about each, being creative, using beginning writing, and scissor cutting skills.

Save the Date for our annual Book Fair! We will have the book fair from February 27 to March 3rd. A family fun night is being planned for Wednesday, March 1st! March is Reading Month will be here soon!

Students in Mrs. Gulick's class tried out a new math website today called 99Math. Students enjoyed practicing their math facts in this fun new way!
Today Mrs. Groeneveld’s Class learned about 3 different types of penguins: The Rockhopper, The Chinstrap and The King penguin.
We measured out the height or each penguin and compared our 1st grade height to the height of the 3 penguins 🐧
Second graders started their land features work in STEAM by creating models with our Earth’s Resources kits. Mountains, islands, and valleys were just a few of the features made by Mrs. MacLaren’s class!

Polar Express Day celebrated! Many thanks to Mr. Zeese for the MANY readings of the Polar Express story and our PTO for the great Hot Chocolate refreshments! What a way to step into our Christmas Break!
