Wear purple on Thursdays in October for Rett Syndrome Awareness Month. Today’s fact is about kindness. Kindness is the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate.  Practicing kindness is great for your health and helps you to be happier.  Those with Retts Syndrome display unbelievable amounts of patience and kindness to those around them. We should do the same.

Mini Rett Syndrome Awareness assemblies with guest speaker Mrs. Shannon Madden are in the media center during 5th hour today.

The Junior High will have a dance in the cafeteria on Thursday, October 27 during 4th and 5th hours. Wear regular school clothes.

Seniors if you missed the Josten’s meeting on Monday, you must stop in to see Mrs. McDaid so you can get a cap & gown packet.

Picture re-takes will be November 8th.  If you ordered pictures and want re-takes, make sure to bring your other pictures with you.  I have a few order forms for those that never had pictures taken in the office.

Rett Syndrome Awareness spirit days for 7th-12th grades include:

Monday - Scarf and / or Hair Accessories day

Tuesday - Curious George Character day

Wednesday - Wacky Wednesday

Thursday - Wear Purple to support Rett Syndrome Awareness

Want to see staff members receive a pie in the face for a good cause? Gather up your change and put it in one or more jars on the table outside of the office before school on Tuesday, October 25-Monday, October 31. Each penny put in a jar adds one point to a staff member’s total. Silver coins take points away (nickel -5 points, dime -10 points, quarter -25 points). You may not move a coin once it has been dropped into a jar. The staff members with the most points by 8 AM Monday, October 31, will get a pie in the face. Who will “earn” pies? It could be Mr. Jordan Hessbrook, Mr. Harless, Mrs. Skeith, Mrs. Nieman, Ms. Bailey, Mr. Lucas Slater, or Mr. Lincoln. Bring your change. It is up to you to decide! All money collected will go to rettsyndrome.org.
