Happy birthday to Aiden Murphy, Elizabeth Sondy, and Rebecca Sonday
The NHS blood drive is next Monday, Anyone 16 years old and older may donate blood. Those 16 years old will need a parent permission form. If you donate blood at least three times while in high school, you will earn a red cord to wear at graduation. See Kelsey Upton, Ms. VanDeWeghe, or Ms. Ridgell to sign up.
There will be a General Membership student council meeting this Thursday, Oct. 20th. This is for ANYONE grades 9-12 that would like to help plan winter activities. Please come to Mrs. Shankel’s room at 7:30 am!
The Junior High Peer to Peer and Student Council will meet in room 108 during lunch today.
Wear purple on Thursdays in October for Rett Syndrome Awareness Month. Today’s fact is about genetic mutations. A genetic mutation is a permanent change to the DNA sequencing that makes up a gene. Dimples, freckles and color blindness result from genetic mutations. A small percentage affects health and development. For instance, a malfunction in the MECP2 gene causes Rett Syndrome.
Due to staff training, there is no tutoring today. We will meet on Thursday.
